About these terms
These terms apply to Cluion websites, accounts, community, and feedback features (“the service”), operated by Cluion, an individually run operation based in Taiwan. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
Who can use Cluion
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you need the consent of a parent or guardian. You may not use the service if we have previously suspended your account, unless we allow it.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your email address current.
- Keep your password, passkeys, and recovery codes safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us promptly at contact@cluion.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
- An account is for one person and may not be sold or transferred.
What you post
You keep ownership of discussions, replies, feedback, and other content you post. You give Cluion a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and adapt that content as needed to run, show, and improve the service. The licence continues for content that stays public after you delete your account, which is then shown without your name.
Only post content you have the right to share, and do not post other people's personal data without permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including copyright and privacy;
- harass, threaten, or impersonate others, or post hateful or sexually explicit content;
- send spam, advertising, or misleading content;
- upload malware, probe or attack the service, or bypass security or rate limits;
- scrape the service in bulk or access it with automated tools in ways that burden it, except where we allow it;
- manipulate votes, reactions, or reputation.
Moderation
We may review, hide, lock, or remove content, and limit, suspend, or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or others at risk. Where practical we will explain why. You can report content you believe breaks these terms using the report feature.
Products, software, and feedback
Information about Cluion products and releases is provided for convenience. Software we publish is governed by its own licence. If you send ideas or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.
Third-party services
Signing in with Google or GitHub is subject to those providers' own terms. We are not responsible for services we do not operate, including sites linked from the service.
Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep the service available and secure, but it is provided as it is and may change, be interrupted for maintenance, or be discontinued. To the extent the law allows, we do not give warranties that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Cluion is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profits, arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under Taiwan's Consumer Protection Act, or for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. Sections about content you posted, liability, and governing law continue to apply after that.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and announce significant changes on the site before they take effect. If you keep using the service afterwards, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China). The Taiwan Taoyuan District Court has jurisdiction as the court of first instance, unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
